February 2, 13 – 7:35 a.m.

I just woke from a dream. 

I was in a Japanese city, not the current time but decades earlier.

Japanese women in kimonos, a few old men, children, running away down a street.

I feel their terror.  Someone they have never seen but fear more than anything else… is coming.

It’s a raid.  An air raid?  There’s a siren I can hear.  I think this is World War II.

I’ve been following those that are fleeing, but now I look back.  I see the enemy they are fleeing from.

That’s it?  I can’t believe it.

A lone man is walking into town.  A white man, rather unimpressive, walking down the main drag.  He’s a small man in a grey wool suit, white streaks of close cropped hair, wire-rim glasses.  An American, of importance.  Now, I feel this man’s rage.  It is blinding.  It is the complete and utter justified rage that one feels when one has been wronged.  The sheer anguish and indignation that comes from such hate is tangible to me, I can taste it, that need for revenge that surpasses reason and cloaks itself in such a blinding darkness that it takes on the seemingly respectable cloak of inevitability and creative reason.

I see a glimpse of the American’s face more clearly as he gets closer.  Is it President Harry Truman?  In fact, I immediately think that’s who I’m looking at.

This rage hitting me is not just a feeling.  I wish I could describe it better, but it’s like I’m feeling a concept as a complete whole, and it is a collective thing, not merely an individual’s emotion.  It’s like the weight of the world on my shoulders, or more accurately in my gut and my heart.  I at once realize this dream figure, rather ridiculously, is just a symbol, as much as an individual.  I suddenly understand how a leader can push a button he knows will vaporize 100,000 or 100 million people.  Before this moment it has always seemed an abstract concept, this idea of nuclear Armageddon, but now I get it viscerally, I get what Truman must have been feeling when he ordered the dropping of “the bomb”.

It is what an anguished, bloodied society craves desperately when it knows itself to be justified in it’s quest for retribution, however terrible.

I am experiencing the rage of a wounded America, scarred and hardened after a long and bloody war that has taken too much from too many on all sides.  It is heart wrenching and beyond words.  It’s almost too much.  I want to wake up.

I look around at the untouched city of Hiroshima around me.  Neat.  Clean.  Quintessentially Japanese. Left intentionally untouched by American bombs through much of the war perhaps in longing for the day we first demonstrate the terrible effectiveness of our new mastery of the atom.

The thought comes to me that I am the last person to ever see this.  I feel… I know with certainty the wave of rage that I am picking up on is going to sweep all of this away like a towering tsunami.  The women running for safety in kimonos will not find solace, I know this.  It is pointless to run anymore.  The siren cuts short as a single bomb hits fertile earth.

This bomb is different. It is rage itself.

Nuclear fire.  And with the touch of that awful flame, like acid against my skin, the dream becomes truly lucid, and I fully understand I’m standing at ground zero… Hiroshima, on August 6^th, 1945 as much as I am assured that I am asleep comfortably in my 2013 bed.

I’m experiencing the last flash of a snapshot in time, at the very moment it is vaporized into history.

Poof.  Light scatters like bits of sweet smelling ash.  Everything goes black.

A disembodied voice in the dream says, “These are samsaras.”

Intuitively, I know that this means the cycle of samsaras, a string of unresolved karmic memories.  I understand that the rage that I still feel in the darkness that now consumes my mind’s eye and gives me nothing else but itself to focus on, is the web tying a culture, a country, an individual to an endless string of repeated lessons, entanglements that can only cease their repeated action by self realization, self responsibility, self forgiveness… unconditional love.

Until all that rage is recognized and released via unconditional love even of those that may righteously deserve scorn, there can be no release.  As long as that rage survives in my mind’s eye, I… we collectively, will relive our individual and collective moments of destruction, again and again.

And then I wake up.

NOTE:  Later that night we attend the Gate Conference for transformative media, the Eckhart Tolle event in L.A.  They play a trailer to the new film “Samsara” and an explanation of the word and what it represents is given.  I have never really heard of the film but I was basically right in it’s interpretation.  I get the chills as the trailer plays.  It is too great a synchronicity to ignore.  It’s probably the first time I’ve ever heard the word spoken aloud, although in fairness I had read it before and knew vaguely what it meant.

What will it take to cut the strings entangling us to the roles we’ve played in our past?  How many times more must we be the ones walking down the path in righteous anger, or the whirlwind to be reaped, or the running women and children taught that they must be victims, inevitably to be scattered like ash?

What about the even harder path, of total responsibility and surrender to unconditional love that represents the only way around the samsaras of our past?

“Samsara” the movie looks awesome, you should check out the trailer below.  “Baraka”, the previous film by the same filmmaker, is one of my all time faves and probably one of the most profound and visually stunning films about the human experience ever conceived, a film I adored in filmschool, so I look forward to checking out “Samsara”, which looks like the sequel.

If I may please, one more time, state something that I hope becomes more and more obvious as time goes by.

WE, you, me and anyone reading this, each CHOOSE what we believe and what the OUTCOME will be.

It is so easy to believe that everything is done TO us.  It is easier to abdicate responsibility than to take on the responsibility even for those things that at first glance appear out of our control.  We wait on the fence.  We wait for someone else’s reality to fill in the blanks.  We desperately want someone to give us the date, the conclusion, the cheat sheet on teacher’s desk.  We wait for the angels, for the saints, for anyone else to lift us up.

Without realizing we’re already aloft, we look down instead of up at the best of ourselves.

Look up…

We are in a time of opportunity.  Of choice.  One person‘s false flag is another person’s grand banner.  The determining factor is belief and the particular color of reality it places you in.

Where you place your focus, your emotion, your sense of what is real, is what matters now.   It is the only thing that matters.  What will you believe and make real?  Will you obsess on the nightly news, on the fears, on the lack or the powerlessness, the things you THINK are there to harm you, always out of reach and demanding attention, trepidation, retribution… judgement?

Nobody, but nobody, can ever make your choices for you.  Nobody can take away your fears except you, YOURSELF.

Conditional love, with all it’s strings attached, is only fear in disguise just the same as anger and hate and greed and envy are all masks that fear wears.

Unconditional love.  Being non attached to any particular outcome.  Simply riding the wave straight into the very best outcome possible.  These are the answers to every test the universe brings your way.  Everything is energy.  Everything vibrates at a frequency, including you.  Feeling creates frequency and like frequencies attract.  What frequency will you choose?

Where your frequency goes, so goes the world.

Your perspective, your interactions, you very existence shifts from reality to reality based upon where your vibration is at.  The more unconditional love we can find, we raise the bar for everyone on the planet.  We change the entire planet from within our own consciousness.

This is not some mystic statement.  This is science.  It’s psychology and quantum mechanics at work.  We put ourselves into the world we want most to see, most expect to see.

Do you expect a miracle, or a disaster?  Either way, you will be right.

When we move to a better reality internally, we automatically take everything and everyone we have ever perceived up the ladder frequency with us.  Your choices grow as your vision does.

It is not bells that give angels wings, it is each beat of a connected, coherent heart no longer hindered by a lack of imagination.

YOU are the only person in the room, no matter how crowded you feel.  Every image, every person, every thing you see is a reflection of yourself in essence.  Once we get that, once we get that indeed YOU. ARE. GOD., in the image of something that is perfect, in the eye of every beholder, as capable and powerful as your imagination can allow, then you may understand that the changes you make internally have no choice but to manifest externally.

You want clean oceans, the end to dirty energy, honest and capable leaders and world peace…, find true loves, act authentically, speak your truth, make peace with your inner self first and foremost.  Understand your ego and love it in it’s place.  Realize that you do nothing, and yet you do everything.  Take action where it is right to take action because that is part of your journey.   Act.  What are you waiting for?  Love.  Love.  Love.

There is no wrong answer.  There is no wrong outcome.  There is no set date for your success or destruction.  There is no massive plot against you.   There is no luck.  There is no fate.

There is nothing, unless you make it so.

It is time for understanding of self, for understanding of the games the ego plays on it’s way to understanding self.  Recognize the game for the play that it is.  The world is your stage, your performance is at hand, only a lack of imagination has held you back.

We’re all one, not figuratively, not in some new age woo woo sense, but in every sense of reality.  We are entangled.  What you do affects me.  What I do affects you.  Every action has at least an equal reaction, not opposite, but exponential.   This law of correspondence works from the tiniest level of cells to largest interaction between nations.

Your thoughts matter.  In fact, your thoughts become matter.  Anything you create in your life began with a thought.

Recognize you can never be unworthy unless you allow it.

What is Reality?   Your answers to such questions, like your truths, are unique to you.

We are merely different prisms of the same image of creation with all the power that implies.

You’ve just been given the reigns, what will you do with them?

This is for anyone with health issues.  I’m not a doctor nor do I claim to be.  That said, there are some compelling documentaries floating around I’ve watched recently, as well as some great books that change instantly the way anyone viewing them looks at diseases like cancer, MS, diabetes, and more.

Dr. Albert Schweitzer (Nobel prize winner) wrote “I see in Dr. Gerson one of the most eminent geniuses in the history of medicine.” Dr. Max Gerson (1881-1959) developed a nutritional protocol to cure diseases, with proven scientific results.”  Schweitzer was rid of his diabetes by Gerson’s Therapy and his wife was rid of her tuberculosis and the two families became long friends as a result.

Dr. Max Gerson declared to a U.S. Senate committee in 1946 that he had found a cure for cancer.  He had evidence to prove it, several case studies.  It came out in the papers, and was promptly ridiculed and ignored by the pharmaceutical industry and eventually the nation as a whole.

Even after his death many years later, after curing hundreds of their ills, Gerson’s daughter has continued quietly treating patients with the same therapy her father created to this day.  Her results… are world wide and stunning.  They’ve also been panned and ignored via an entire campaign of misinformation in the U.S. where the Gerson Therapy is illegal.  That’s in the U.S., aka the nation with the highest cancer rate in the world and the most money spent on healthcare.

In other nations, like Spain, Japan, Mexico, and others, however, the Gerson Therapy has been enthusiastically embraced and clinics are popping up all over.  Because it’s working there.  And it’s cheap.

There’s a letter hanging at the Gerson Institute in Southern California from Prince Charles, thanking Gerson’s institute for ridding his friend of terminal cancer.

In Japan, a preeminent surgeon respected throughout the nation has treated over 500 patients using Gerson’s therapy and is tracking their remissions over many years.  In fact, clinics using the Gerson Therapy have sprung up all over Japan and other Eastern nations as a result.

The secret to the therapy according to these documentaries?  There isn’t one of course.

As Hippocrates said, “Let food by thy medicine.” 

The Gerson Therapy consists of avoiding toxins, alcohol, sugar and processed foods, sticking to a raw and cooked organic plant based diet, consuming flax oil and putting up with coffee enemas to release stored toxins.   Ew.  or Whew!  You decide.

Gerson’s work was begun in the 20′s and 30′s and today is illegal in the United States, although more common and legal overseas.  Since the 30′s other scientists have corroborated his findings.  For the cliff notes, watch “Forks Over Knives”, “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead”, and read “The China Study.”  They all provide overwhelming evidence for the same results.  Nutrition and disease are inextricably linked.  Duh.

Nutrition based therapy scares big pharma.  They can’t control it or copyright it.  As a result, they can’t make billions of dollars off sick people with it.

For even further wonky scientific detail that will blow your mind, pick up “The China Study”, the book that the documentaries quote, done independently of Gerson and I believe without even knowing about him, some 50 years after his own research.  The China Study was commissioned by the Premier of China after he contracted cancer and wanted to know why.  It involved 800 million Chinese in villages all over the country over two decades to find out what made them sick.  Researchers worldwide participated.

The findings?

Eliminate processed foods, sugar, alcohol and heavy stress and keep your diet to under 15 percent animal and diary protein and you turn off the markers in your genes that allow you to get cancer.  You also start to repair previously thought irreparable damage to your body.  According to the documentary failed arteries repair themselves.  Scar tissue goes away.  Heart disease reverses.  Tumors shrink into nothing.

It’s worth doing your own investigation. Start with these two free videos on Youtube regarding Gerson’s Therapy.  “The Gerson Miracle” and “Dying To Have Known”.   Then go rent “Forks Over Knives”, “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead” and read “The China Study”.  Your eyes will be opened to a whole new world of potential control over your health.

I’m serious.  Do it.  You deserve it and so do the ones around you that perhaps would’ve gotten sick someday if you didn’t.

Well… what if now was the time to face all our own creations? What if now was the time to take full responsibility from a place love and forgiveness for them and as some believe, step off the wheel of karma once and for all as a result? What if now was the time to change the things that would consume our reality both imagined and not with a healthy mix of faith and imagination?

What if it was okay to believe in magic and wonder again?

What if the only one coming to save the day, was you? What if… You. Are. God?

What if you could stand on the street corner, look into the eyes of any and everyone that passes by and see your own divinity reflected back at you and all it took was to be brave enough to look into the eyes of the sprawled out homeless man with no shoes the same as the the Armani clad executive darting aside on his smartphone or the screaming housewife angry at the world?

What if there were no more “what ifs” and you could simply say, “I Am The Word” and know that you really were what that means, which is divinity in motion, the aspect of the creator that can be manifested in form and that is instilled in everybody and everything and subject only to it’s own power to imagine it’s own transcendence.

I don’t know about you, but a Mayan apocalpyse sounds just what the doctor ordered to me.

Picture it like a galactic sized birthday, a celebration that not only the Mayans, but the ancient Hindus, the ancient Egyptians and others all saw coming during the Winter Solstice of 2012 as timed out in at least some form of their measurement of time.  The date in itself means nothing.  Perhaps it is a marker, it’s a choice point, it’s an opportunity if you take it.  YOU are the operative word here.  To you, it can mean everything.  We find right now the point that an enormous amount of conscious energy has been placed into for a great many years, and that means something, especially in light of the fact that mass focused intention can be tapped into and focused by positive emotion, especially when channeled through our hearts with love, with gratitude.

Bashar is Arabic for “messenger of good news.”

Darryl Anka didn’t know that, the first time he heard that name in his head.  Yet, as one of the most prolific channelers in modern times, with nearly 30 years of documented channellings under his belt that challenge our ideas of our own human frailty and the very nature of the universe, he continues to prove just how appropriate a name Bashar is.

What if I told you that every moment, actually billions of times each moment, you were shifting realities?  

Like a strip of film, your life is going by as a series of individual frames, passing so fast they create the illusion of motion.

And with each new frame the opportunity exists, for a scene change.  

The YOU of a moment ago, with that set of experiences, no longer exists, replaced now with another version of you that fits your perception of what you prefer to be.

That’s, in a nutshell, what Bashar has been trying to tell us for somewhere in the neighborhood of  almost 30 years now.    You’re the only one in the room.  In fact, you created the room in the first place.  The world doesn’t shift you, you shift it all around you.  

Get it?  Do you understand?

Right now, at this moment, is the end of the old world.  The old world is gone.  A new world is beginning and inviting you to make a choice.  What will you choose?

Alright… so you know that feeling you get, when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you just know somebody is on to something?  Moments like that transcend the why, the how, and the wherefore.   Where the intel comes from matters less than what it can create if you use it.  Moments like that, people like that, give you that “aha” moment when things begin to click in a way that they simply didn’t before.  It is the hallmark of mastery and the purpose of human nature, to grow, to learn, the become more… you.

I put Darryl Anka and Bashar both into that rare category of mastery, and both for different reasons.

What if I told you that you can shift to the reality you prefer at any time simply by shifting your perception?  You can!

I stumbled across Bashar first, when a friend sent me a video with sound clips from Bashar, which I did a blog post on called “Shift” last year and that you can find HERE.  It was the first I’d heard of Bashar and that one little homemade video, maybe 3 minutes in length, resonated with me deeply.  I played it several times and I referred back to it several times beyond that.  It just clicked.  It took what I’d known intuitively and distilled it in a way that was more digestible.  For my money, that’s what Darryl and Bashar do so well.  They make the woo woo into simple hard physics.

So imagine my surprise when I found out that Darryl Anka, the man behind Bashar, would be at Conscious Life Expo this last February, where I happened to be doing some coverage for my emerging TV show of Waking Universe.  Despite almost missing the whole Bashar event, if not for a kind hearted usher who recognized me from an earlier event and let me in despite the capacity crowd, I could feel the energy in the room that day.  It was palpable.  There were several times the audience shared a collective “aha” that made several in the room smile, myself included.

I stuck around and waited to get a soundbite from Darryl to go with the channelled footage I shot.  It had been announced there was another room we were supposed to go to for a post session press meet and greet, and due to my tardy entry, I didn’t quite hear where it was at.  As everyone else decided to ajourn to that mysterious room, I decided to wait until Darryl actually left as well, as no doubt he’d know where he was going, right?

Wrong.

He was just as unsure where to go as I was and we spent the next half hour or so lost, walking around the conference looking for the press room, talking, getting to know each other a bit.  It was, as Bashar would say, synchronicity at it’s finest.

I was surprised to learn that Darryl was a filmmaker.  We share a mutual love of the craft of filmmaking.  Darryl had just recently written and directed a heartfelt feature film called “Dearly Departed”, a “documentary” about the afterlife which is a must for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one.  I invited him out to the television studio where we film Waking Universe TV, and he graciously agreed to come for an interview.

What if I said that by finding your own sense of purpose, your passion, your own authentic self and then taking some action to become that self more fully, you change not only your future, but your past and the entire world you choose to inhabit as well?

Several months after our first meeting, and the interview featured above, Darryl’s “Dearly Departed” and one of my shorts were both accepted to the Action on Film Festival in L.A.  My short film played ahead of his feature.  When I asked him about how he became a filmmaker, Darryl replied, “I’m doing what Bashar suggests, I’m following my passion.”

That statement struck me.   You’d think that being a respected channeler would be a career unto itself.  Yet, as I got to know Darryl, I realized that he so perfectly manages to balance the esoteric with his daily work as a filmmaker, that Bashar fades to the background as inspiration for Darryl’s more earthly creative pursuits.

What also struck me was Darryl’s quite sane and simple take on his many years with Bashar.  It’s just another aspect of who he is and something that frankly, according to him, anyone can do.

There’s no expectations, fanfare, or great expository speeches about the nature of the universe given over lunch, yet Darryl can be every bit as profound as Bashar in a way that is grounded where Bashar is out of this world, and that, is perhaps the reason they make such a great team.  Darryl quietly makes the unexplainable matter of fact, almost ordinary really, while Bashar brings wonder even to the routine.

Is this some coherently schizophrenic genius or an advance greeting from a culture beyond our own planet?  Who cares, it’s badass either way and just might alter your world if you let it.

Darryl says he believes Bashar is an E.T. and yet he has no way to prove it and can’t discount that all his interactions as Bashar may just be his subconscious at work.  At the least Darryl’s conveying information that actually helps people deal practically with their lives and at best, Darryl’s communion with Bashar opens up a wide, wonderful universe that demonstrates we are part of a family much larger than can normally gather for Sunday brunch at Acapulcos.

Yet Darryl doesn’t waste time analyzing what he does as Bashar.  He always seems at ease with himself because he walks the walk he talks, preferring to go with the flow.  His easy confidence in his actions, which he himself credits as having rubbed off from his interactions with Bashar, really have stayed with me and I’m sure many others too.

And again in Bashar’s own words, it doesn’t matter what you think, if you’re following your passion.  What you choose to be true, is true to you, and that is all that counts.  It’s the reality you make.

Bottom line, Darryl is a soft spoken, thoughtful individual who is as passionate about his writing and other filmmaking endeavors as he is about his work as Bashar.   Both things are about conveying stories about who we are.  He balances the material and the esoteric with the skill of a storyteller who’s been doing it a long time.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him a bit and I am anxious to see what he will bring to the world next, be it in the form of Bashar, a bold new film, or whatever else he chooses to create.

“This is… an opportunity… to transform.  If you take it.  Choose choose choose. You have the right to. If you don’t want, you don’t have to.  And then you reap your results.  What you choose is what you want and what you know.  What you claim is your own, is yours.  What do you want to claim for 2012?  That is the choice here.”

Most of us are waiting for something, anything, outside ourselves to define us.  Our possessions.  Our status.  Our beliefs.  Our religion.  Which superhero, deity or demon will we create to swoop down and either save or sink us?

Imagine a world where we took divinity off the pedestal that allows us to hate, disregard and fear and wrapped it like a warm winter blanket around the good, bad and ugly of our daily lives, becoming a more perfect union of human nature and angelic flight in the process.

Imagine a world where terms like enlightenment, ascension and Christ were never about escape or suffering but rather about carrying the best of our angels down in the straps of our boots, with all the mud, callouses and flat feet still proudly intact and with a new Spring in our step.

That’s the frequency Paul Selig wants to tune you into.  He’s not just channeling energy, he’s channeling the solution to how we can choose to survive as a collective.  He wants you to stop waiting, to stop blaming, to stop looking at your watch, to stop thinking the 2nd coming of Superman, Christ or Godzilla is anything other than You.  Paul and his guides want you to ground what he calls “Christ Conciousness” into your every daily experience.

And I believe Paul has a point that is worth listening to and implementing.  As a very wise Chinese man once said, “Before Enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.  After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water.”

I wrote the below in January 2012, a few days after finishing Paul’s first book, one of the only book reviews I’ve ever been inspired to write online:

The day the iconic Bodhi Tree bookstore closed, New Years Eve I think, all the books were 90 percent off and I arrived late to find slim pickings.  All alone on a barren, dusty shelf otherwise ransacked by overzealous Angelenos, the title “I Am The Word” caught my eye as I was already standing in line to check out. 

There was something about the title.  I grabbed it, not knowing anything about it but figuring for 90 percent off I might as well.  Out of the fifteen or so books I bought something told me to start reading that one first.  I was amazed by the truth and emotional connection I found in the work. I found myself saying, “yes, exactly, that’s exactly it”, on several occasions.

For me, “I Am The Word” was the culmination of a journey that I began when I was only three years old and dreamt vividly of an expansive forrest where people were coming together to embrace and act out  a very special plan through the pure love and intent they carried with them.  It was a symbolic place where I, and thus we, can reclaim our too often unimagined power to change ourselves and thus in the process the world entire.  As I recognized in that dream that I was at once both the observer and the observed players in the dream, that in fact our own power was only limited by our ability to recognize that we are both things at once, I realized that we were in fact coming together now, in the dream, in this life, just for that very task.

For many years, that dream stuck with me.  It colored my experiences.  I thought I was alone with my thoughts, with my perceptions, my hopes. As I grew, I feared to speak what I in my gut knew.  It was too crazy, too bold, to think that all that we worship and fear without was actually within each of us to be loved, embraced and forgiven all along.

This book, “I Am The Word”, has taken what I once feared to verbalize and have since questioned and then rediscovered slowly over the last few years and condensed it all into one, easily consumable digest that absolutely flows with truth and power in a way I simply cannot describe.

No matter where you are on your personal journey, this book will open doors of possibility for you that you may or may not have known existed previously.

Just like I found this book on a dusty shelf by sheer synchronicity, I believe this work will find it’s way to those in need of discovering it, maybe even to you reading this right now.

I wrote that review above for Paul Selig’s “I Am The Word” back in January, nearly a year ago.  The next day someone commented on the review and suggested I check out Paul’s Facebook page, where I discovered we had a mutual friend he had gone to college with years before on the East Coast and with whom I’d worked with recently and gotten to know well in L.A.

That started off my unlikely conversation with Paul Selig,  respected playwright, professor of dramatic writing at NYU’s Tisch University, author of best selling channeled material, star of the new show The UnExplained on Biography channel, caretaker of a flop eared dog named Darla and generally all around good guy.  In Paul, I found someone who had reminded me of that early defining dream, of the magic and wonder we surpress and choose to forget so often.

His work inspired me to take a leap.  I determined to do what I had been mulling for awhile… a new t.v. show.  So I invited him out to Los Angeles for an interview and something totally different for me.  A brand new experiment… a television version of my newborn blog Waking Universe.

To my great surprise, Paul graciously took me up on the offer and the result is the video above.

With his flop eared faithful companion Darla in a bag at his side, I picked Paul up at his hotel and had the rare priviledge to spend the next hour or so in the car chatting up one of my newly most favorite authors.  For me it was like having Mark Twain or John Steinbeck or even Edgar Cayce held captive for an afternoon.  And yet, off camera, passing the time in L.A. traffic, I was struck most by the normalcy of the man, by his unassuming, quiet nature, his overwhelming sense that he considered himself more of a student of his own channelled work rather than a master of it, and in a sense, by his own reckoning, at times not even a very good student at that.

It was a reminder to me that we are never done being students.  There is no such thing as graduation day, where you can simply close the book and say, “I’m done.  I’ve got it wired.  I know the answers now.” even when the book you’re reading is good enough to ponder just that.

Yet, where would the fun be in such definite endings?

Luckily, that isn’t the case here.  Paul has since written a second book, titled “The Book of Love and Creation”, which actually surpasses the depth and complexity of his first.  Evita Ochel over at the always uplifting Evolving Beings site has written a powerful review and summation of this newly released book you can get by clicking HERE.

“What The Bleep Do We Know” is one of the seminal films about consciousness that opened up a doorway to the inner working of our reality for millions of people.  It is a fantastic documentary that is not just thought provoking but world expanding.
I highly recommend this documentary and I was surprised to find the entire movie posted on youtube.  It is worth a couple of hours of your time.  It may just change your own personal reality and as a result the world.

Susan Dobay is a woman of many faces.  She is a student of life that expresses the fundamental questions we all ask at one time or another through a lifetime of art.  She’s been producing her art for over 40 years, since she and her husband Endre escaped from cold war Hungary.  Her work has been seen all around the world and I’m honored to feature her as the first interview for our new television series also seen on Time/Warner cable.

I’ve come to know Susan and Endre over the last few years and I am constantly amazed by their energy, enthusiasm and youth.  Susan is an inspiration I hope will rub off on you as easily as she did on me.  In this episode Susan talks about her latest work, “Impressions of China”.  After a recent visit to China Susan decided to use digital photo integration and manipulation techniques to highlight her feelings about a culture at a crossroads.

It’s taken a bit of time to build the introductory sequence and put all the pieces together. Ray Bradbury

There is a particular moment when your feet leave the cliff and gravity takes over.  No more looking back, no more second thoughts, there is only one direction to go.  It is at such moments that angels are born.  It is in such inevitable moments we discover our own wings.

That is the sort of life that Ray Bradbury lived, building wings for himself, and us, as he went.  He chose to define himself not by his successes but rather by his ability to transcend difficulty with an undiminished capacity to constantly fall in love as inevitably as if it was the force of gravity itself.

I have filmed some cool things in my time, but my favorite all time shoot, the one I was most nervous about and the one that I look back on most fondly, was taking part in filming Ray Bradbury in 2009 at a library dedication.  It was a simple thing and yet I was filming a myth, a creature as rare and wonderful as anything I had read in one of his books.  The man with wings himself.

Looking back at the interview today, which I have not seen since that time, I recognize how much of what Ray talked about resonates with the way I view the world today.  He spoke that day of love, of letting go of our fears, of embracing all the things in the world that are here for us if only we will love.

He stated quite clearly that he was a man driven by such love.  Love fueled his art, his relationships, his very essence for every decade since he was twelve and a carnival magician pointed his electrified sword at his temple and told him that he would someday be… immortal.

How true.  Some things like fine wine get only better with age.  Ray found the elixer of life.  He found that love is not an intangible idea but rather a hearty tool that can be projected into the world like David’s sling at Goliath, able to fell any fearful giant with merely the touch of a typewriter and the power of a human heart.

Ray Brabury was a modern mystic, and below we captured one of his final speeches to the world, full of gentle humor, candor and great love.

I love you Ray, and I like so many others wish you God’s speed and a safe journey.   May your typewriter be oiled and your seat cushion warmed and ready for your next chapter even as we re-read the last in the video below.
